Job Summary: The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s n operations, ensuring that business goals are met efficiently and effectively. The GM will develop strategic plans, manage resources, and lead a high-performing team to drive the company’s success.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company objectives.
- Monitor industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities and threats.
- Ensure alignment of company policies and procedures with overall business goals.
Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices to improve operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Analyze financial reports and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and risk management.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing management team.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Implement training and development programs to enhance team skills and capabilities.
Customer and Stakeholder Relations:
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address any issues promptly.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress toward goals.
- Prepare regular reports for the CEO/Board of Directors.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably as a General Manager or similar position.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
