Job Title: Officer – Information Technology Security (Fresher Jobs)

Diamond Trust Bank Uganda is a full-fledged commercial Bank with a network of 40 branches and 36 ATM locations in major Ugandan urban centers and still growing. The bank is also an affiliate of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED) which is the economic development arm of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the IT Security department in the review, tracking and resolution of gaps in the IT system security.
- The Incumbent will report to the Manager – Information Technology Security:
- Monitor and detect potential intrusions and compromises through reviews and analysis of security logs
- Launch and track investigations to resolution. Recognize attacks based on their signatures.
- Differentiates false positives from true intrusion attempts.
- Prepare reports of intrusions and potential intrusions compromises to the IT environment.
- Provide timely responses and support to key Information Technology security stakeholders.
- Take lead in logging, tracking and resolving all Information Technology Security issues raised from day-to-day business operations.
- Providing situational awareness and reporting on cybersecurity status, incidents, and trends in adversary behaviour.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Academic:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology /Systems.
- IT System Security Certifications.
Desired Work Experience:
- One year of experience in an Information Technology Security department.
