Job Summary: The Country Agency Services Manager UIC Uganda is responsible for recruiting, developing and managing country wide agents, bancassurance and direct sales force for long-term business growth aligned with the company’s vision. They oversee and set sales targets for the team, monitor performance, and ensure they maintain effective and strong business relationships inline with the company’s operating manuals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development plans aligned with company objectives, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience throughout all the sales channels.
- Support and promote company marketing activities, focusing on professional sales initiatives, customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Develop a robust business pipeline for sales reporting and business growth.
- Support the agency, branches ,direct and bancassurance business development team with sales strategies and a customer-centric approach.
- Analyze and disseminate market information to relevant teams to better understand and meet customer needs and preferences across the country.
- Support marketing and promotional campaigns to not only achieve business goals but also to enhance the overall customer experience in agency force.
- Revamp agency and bancassurance structures and measures for both retail and corporate business, aiming to optimize customer accessibility and convenience.
- Foster positive business relationships, particularly with agents, banks to ensure excellent customer service and support.
- Initiate long-term strategic plans for direct sales force channels, focusing on delivering personalized experiences to customers countrywide.
- Identify opportunities for introducing new products and services based on customer feedback and market trends, ensuring relevance and value.
- Develop strong and unique synergies/ partnerships to grow profitable business.
- Develop annual key performance metrics with a strong emphasis on brand, customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Qualifications:
- Qualifications: University degree, Certified Insurance qualification, sales and marketing qualification.
- A post graduate qualification is an added advantage.
Experience:
- Marketing Experience: A background in marketing is essential, preferably with a minimum of 2 years of experience in utilizing various marketing channels and techniques to reach target audiences effectively is crucial.
- Distribution Experience: Experience in agency, bancassurance management or related fields is valuable. Experience in optimizing distribution networks to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction is beneficial.
- Sales Experience: Excellent sales experience, especially in the insurance industry or a related field with minimum experience of 5 years is desirable. This includes a track record of achieving sales targets, managing sales teams, and implementing effective sales strategies.
- Customer Relationship Management: Experience in managing customer relationships and understanding customer needs and preferences is important. This includes experience in developing and implementing customer-centric initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Team Leadership: Experience in leading and managing teams is crucial for this role. This includes experience in recruiting, training, and motivating team members, sales force to achieve business objectives.
