Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Project Communications Manager who can effectively plan, execute, and oversee communication strategies for our key projects. The ideal candidate will ensure clear, timely, and consistent information flow among project stakeholders, team members, and leadership, while aligning communications with project goals and organizational objectives.





Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy development:

  • Create and implement communication plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure communication strategies support specific project objectives and timelines.
  • Identify all relevant stakeholders and their communication needs.
  • Choose appropriate communication channels for different stakeholder groups and message types.
  • Develop key messages that resonate with various audiences while maintaining project integrity.
  • Anticipate potential communication challenges and plan mitigation strategies.
  • Determine optimal timing and frequency of communications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Establish systems for gathering and incorporating stakeholder feedback.
  • Plan and budget for communication activities within project constraints.

Content creation:

  • Oversee the production of various materials like press releases, newsletters, and social media posts.
  • Regular reports on project progress, milestones, and achievements.
  • Tailored messages for different groups (e.g., executives, team members, clients).
  • Simplified explanations of complex project elements for non-technical audiences.
  • Crisis communications: Prepared statements or FAQs for potential issues or setbacks.

Media relations:

  • Serve as a liaison with media outlets and manage press inquiries.

Crisis management:

  • Develop and execute communication strategies during challenging situations.

Brand management:

  • Ensure consistency in messaging and brand identity across all platforms.

Internal communications:

  • Facilitate effective information flow within the organization.

Stakeholder engagement:

  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, customers, and partners.

Performance analysis:

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication initiatives.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in communications or PR roles
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Media relations experience
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms
  • Project management abilities
  • Crisis communication training
  • Industry knowledge relevant to the organization
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Professional certifications (e.g., APR, CPRP) preferred
  • Project management: Understanding of project lifecycles and methodologies.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Stakeholder management: Ability to engage with diverse groups effectively.
  • Strategic thinking: Capacity to align communications with project and organizational goals.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust strategies as project needs evolve.
  • Technical proficiency: Familiarity with communication tools and project management software.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to interpret data and translate it into meaningful narratives.
  • Crisis management: Calm and effective communication under pressure.
  • Leadership: Guiding communication teams and influencing project stakeholders.
  • Cultural sensitivity: Awareness of diverse audiences in global projects.
