About Organisation:
Lugazi Diocese with support from Makerere University Walter Reed project through a system strengthening approach to improve HIV and TB Prevention. care and treatment services is implementing a comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention Care and Treatment program in collaboration with Local Government structures. Faith Based Organizations. Community Based Organizations (CBO) Ministry of Health, Ministry of Gencer Labour and Social Development and other partners in the districts Of Buvuma, Mukono, Buikwe, Luwero and Nakasongola.
Job Summary: The Social Worker – Formal Safe Space Manager will support the implementation of the DREAMS project through mobilization sensitizatio, and empower other AGYW through personal experiences lessors learnt and testimonies in assigned d strict to ensure that such gins are Determined, Resilient AIDS Free. Mentored and Sate.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work and social administration, Counselling or a related field
- Strong knowledge of gender-based violence, trauma-informed care, and survivor-centered approaches.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications. including Microsoft Office and Steele Sure.
- Certification in counseling social work, or a related field
- Experience managing programs and teams in a humanitarian or development setting.
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to gender-based violence
- Fluency in local languages and English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines
