Job Title: Production Engineer

Duty Station: Lubowa, Kampala, Uganda

Roofings Group is the leading manufacturer of quality steel and plastic building products in East Africa.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Control and monitor all production activities in the Plant.
- Product quality inspection and improvement
- Production Planning for raw materials, consumables, and finished goods.
- Machine Care and maintenance.
- Labor planning and control.
- Productivity planning and improvement (Goal and Value Setting).
- Process control and Inventory Management.
- Process monitoring, evaluation, and measurement.
- Spare parts, tools planning and management.
- Ensure material accountability.
- Interface with different stake holders; internal and external.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from recognized university
- At least five years of working experience as a Production Engineer in a similar work environment.
- Ability to identify and define problems, collect, analyze, and interpret data, draw appropriate conclusions, and propose solutions or corrective action.
- Ability to work with minimum or no supervision.
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
- Must be self-motivated and a great team player.
