Job Summary: We want a part-time Operations Generalist to ensure the smooth operation of our community activities and handle administrative tasks. This role is ideal for a talented junior keen on an operational role in the future or a mid-level individual seeking a side gig.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Publish a weekly newsletter
- Organize virtual or physical meet-ups.
- Maintain and update our member database
- Streamline the process of identifying, welcoming, and introducing new members
- Keep a detailed and up-to-date wiki of community info
- Conduct necessary graphic design tasks for newsletters, event promotions, and other communications
- Handle any assigned tasks as they arise to support the community’s operations.
Qualifications Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in administrative and operational roles.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools e.g. Canva.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment.
- Initiative and self-drive are crucial; you will run the show and are expected to get things done without excuses.
- Having a day commitment should not be an excuse for meeting Nambi’s obligations.
Compensation: Monthly salary ranging from UGX 0.75M to UGX 1M subject to a one-month trial period (only 50% of total compensation during the trial period).
