Job Summary: The IT Security Officer is responsible for routine IT security monitoring and configuration of Network security in compliance with security policies and IT operating procedures and execution of network Disaster Recovery procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures antivirus solutions are updated for all devices.
- Perform security reviews of Endpoint devices and report any deviations from Policies.
- Conduct technology risk assessment for the technology environment, report all inherent technology risks associated.
- Conduct cyber security awareness and training for users,
- Responsible for data protection and execution of network Disaster Recovery procedures.
- Provide support to Internal Audit, Risk management and External Audit functions when required.
- Manage the Security Centre to ensure the security systems and software are updated 100% with the latest software update and that all End Point devices are running up to date anti-virus signatures.
- Effectively manage the Spam filter to ensure that spam emails from unwanted sources into the Bank’s network are efficiently filtered and stopped to minimize the risk of Cyber attack.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Education & Training
- Bachelor’s Degree in ICT and Computer related studies e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or other related studies e.g. Bachelor of Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Electrical, Data Communication and Networks
- Relevant Post Graduate IT training and/or certification e.g., CCNA and ITIL.
Skills & Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in Network Security
- Good networking
- Strong attention to detail
