Founded in 2010, Hope of Children and Women Victims Organisation (HOCW) is a refugee-led, grassroots initiative devoted to instilling hope, providing opportunities and offering support to victims of violence in the Ndejje Central Region outside of Kampala, Uganda.

Job Summary:  We are seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Receptionist to join our team. The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for visitors and clients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome visitors with a positive, helpful attitude.
• Manage the enrolment process for new students, providing guidance and directing them to their appropriate levels after registration.
• Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
• Maintain the reception area, keeping it clean and organized.
• Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries.
• Schedule appointments and maintain calendars.
• Perform basic bookkeeping, filing, and clerical duties.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in speaking both Swahili and Luganda in addition to English.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team player with a capability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
