Job Title:   Production Assistant – NTV (Fresher Jobs)

Job Summary:   The Production Assistant will provide practical support and assistance to production teams, plan for and produce TV programmes that educate, inform, entertain and earn revenue for Africa Broadcasting (U) Limited.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with research of programme content for assigned shows.
• Create show scripts for internal/external broadcasts and for clients.
• Assist in the organization and supervision of location shoots.
• Create schedules, shot lists and call sheets for shoots.
• Organize the logistical requirements of shoots.
• Coordinate the presentations of show hosts during live broadcasts.
• Assist in the production of Talk shows by supporting the directors, graphics team and other technical crews.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Academic: University Degree in Mass Communication or any related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional: Diploma in Journalism.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years Production experience, with emphasis on Television production

Core Competencies:

• Ability to work accurately and under pressure
• Deadline driven
• Computer literate
• Must have a good eye for detail
• Must be able to deal effectively with simultaneous tasks.
• Must be able to demonstrate a unique skillset in managing digital media television production workflow system.
