Job Title:  Nutrition Assistant (Fresher Jobs)

About Organisation:

Salem Brotherhood Uganda Limited was established in 1981 by Gottfried Müller and friends as a non-governmental organisation (NGO). SALEM comes from the Hebrew word SHALOM which means peace. To bring the message of peace to Uganda was a heroic idea. They are currently implementing a Malnutrition project in Mbale, Bukedea, Butebo and Budaka districts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide education to breast feeding mothers, patients and clients with lifestyle challenges
• Set and conduct nutrition clinics at the facility, program Health Education activities, offer support to partner facilities, schools etc and assist in developing IEC materials.
• Train and support partner health teams/ VHTs to carry out growth monitoring amongst the target groups.
• Shall duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nutrition or other related field
• At least two years of work experience.
• Certificate as dietary technician is added advantage.
