Job Summary: Passionate and results-driven Fundraising Associate to join our team at GLF. The Fundraising Associate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing fundraising initiatives and campaigns to support GLF’s mission and objectives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with donors, sponsors, and partners to secure financial support and resources for our farm’s sustainability and growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies and campaigns to attract financial support from individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and government agencies.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with existing donors and sponsors, providing regular updates on GLF’s initiatives, impact, and funding needs.
- Identify and research prospective donors and funding opportunities, including grant prospects, corporate partnerships, and fundraising events.
- Prepare compelling fundraising materials, including grant proposals, sponsorship packages, fundraising appeals, and donor communications, to effectively convey GLF’s mission, impact, and funding priorities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and data for fundraising proposals and reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with donor requirements.
- Plan and execute fundraising events and activities, including donor appreciation events, fundraising dinners, and community outreach programs, to engage donors and raise awareness about GLF’s initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, gifts, pledges, and contributions in the donor database, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Monitor fundraising performance and progress towards goals, tracking key metrics and providing regular reports to management and stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging opportunities in fundraising and philanthropy, continuously seeking ways to enhance GLF’s fundraising efforts.
- Represent GLF at external meetings, conferences, and networking events to build relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; additional certifications in fundraising or philanthropy are advantageous.
- Proven experience in fundraising, development, or donor relations, preferably in the nonprofit sector or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate GLF’s mission, impact, and funding needs effectively to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop creative fundraising strategies and campaigns to achieve fundraising goals.
- Proficiency in fundraising software and donor management systems, with experience in donor database management and gift processing.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising targets and objectives.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Commitment to GLF’s mission and values, with a passion for sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, and community engagement.
