Job Title:  Agricultural Officer  (Fresher  Jobs)

About Organisation:

Salem Brotherhood Uganda Limited was established in 1981 by Gottfried Müller and friends as a non-governmental organisation (NGO). SALEM comes from the Hebrew word SHALOM which means peace. To bring the message of peace to Uganda was a heroic idea. They are currently implementing a Malnutrition project in Mbale, Bukedea, Butebo and Budaka districts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead agriculture activities and support small scale farmers, households and schools to adopt appropriate sustainable food production techniques, through conducting needs assessments, training and practical demonstrations, applying sustainable, environmentally friendly practices.
• Promote linkages and cooperation with other field extension officers and farmers, conduct routine support supervision of the model farmers, kitchen gardeners and school farmer groups.
• Shall perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture
• At least two years of work experience in the relevant field
