Science Teachers Initiative (STI) is a registered Not-for-Profit Non-Governmental Organisation of senior educationists and innovators invested in improvement of the quality of education and stimulation of a sense of critical thinking and innovation among young people in Africa.
Job Summary: He/she will be responsible for overall financial planning, comprehensive financial monitoring and reporting, maintaining economic and administrative services, and supporting STIA operations. He/she will head the Finance and Admin Department, be a strategic thought partner, and report directly to the Country Director (CD). The Finance & Admin Manager must work within IFRS, policies, and procedures in compliance with STIAs Finance and Administration Manual.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, or related field; Masters is preferred. CPA/ACCA is required.
- A minimum of six years of experience in planning processes, performance management, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity building in a robust NGO or INGO.
- Knowledge of USAID, UN, EU, World Bank, or AFD financial regulations and reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software, communication skills, and ability to work independently.
