Job Summary: The Raw Materials Controller will ensure all stock is received/issued/accounted for with minimum variance and supervision of Raw Materials Stores.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all materials are placed in their right stores locations.
- Ensure materials are correctly labelled according to prescribed standards.
- Ensure materials stored are in compliance with the material master data.
- Conduct daily, monthly, and annual stock takes.
- Verify the return of materials to stock by ensuring the materials are safely protected and are still in the original condition.
- Ensure materials are delivered according to Company specifications.
- Ensure new deliveries undergo quality inspection, received physically and on the system timely.
- Report and follow up all quality non-conforming materials to the relevant stakeholders.
- Stop and report to EOSH any safety concerns related to raw material stores to prevent unsafe conditions as outlined in the Risk Assessments.
- Lead and supervise the stores team.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Qualifications:
- Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Stores Management, Inventory, Logistics management, Procurement, or a related field.
Experience:
- One year of supervisory experience of Stores operations preferably in an FMCG.
Competencies:
- Procurement and Logistics procedures knowledge
- Computer knowledge of MS Office
- Basic materials handling knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Stores and inventory management skills
- Document management ability.
- Ability to work in a team
- Planning, organizing, and controlling
- Attention to detail.
- Customer orientation
