Timecop Security Company offers armed & unarmed guards, K9 services, escorts, QRF, Consultancy, Investigations, Dealers in Security equipment, CCTV camera supply and installations.
Job Summary: The Director of Operations will oversee the daily operations of our private security company, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery to clients while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance. This role involves strategic planning, operational oversight, team leadership, client relationship management, and ensuring adherence to local regulations and company policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee and manage all operational activities of the company, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate and supervise the deployment of security personnel and resources to various sites.
Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of the company’s strategic plans and objectives.
- Analyze operational performance and market trends to inform strategic decisions and improvements.
- Implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the operations team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage recruitment processes for operational roles.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their security needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to ensure satisfaction with security services.
- Handle client complaints and issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations pertaining to private security operations.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by regulatory authorities.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Oversee the procurement and maintenance of security equipment and resources.
- Monitor and control operational expenses to meet financial targets.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of security services.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.
- Address any operational deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field but Masters is preferred. A Bachelors’ Degree or any course in Security Management or a related field is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in the security industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, protocols, and regulatory requirements in Uganda.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and security management software.
