Job Summary: The Business Transformation Senior Analyst – Uganda & Kenya at Sun King will oversee diverse transformation initiatives across projects and pilot management, process improvement, digital transformation, product innovation, expansion, and market research.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Change Management:
- Steer change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and systems across the organization.
- Develop and execute strategies to manage organizational change effectively, including stakeholder communication and training programs.
Project and Pilot Management:
- Manage and execute a range of projects and pilots, from conception to scale-up, ensuring alignment with Sun King’s strategic goals.
- Utilize best-fit project management methodologies to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Digital Transformation:
- Spearhead digital transformation projects, identifying opportunities for technological innovation and process automation.
- Cofunction with tech teams to implement digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Product Innovation:
- Drive product innovation initiatives, from ideation to launch, contributing to Sun King’s portfolio diversification and revenue streams.
- Cofunction with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market.
Expansion Management:
- Motivate and manage expansion initiatives into new markets, strategizing and executing plans for successful market entry and growth.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve expansion goals, ensuring alignment with Sun King’s broader strategic goals.
Market Research:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and queries in current and potential markets.
- Study market data to inform strategic rulings, including product positioning, market entry strategies, and business rival strategies.
Process Improvement:
- Inquire about existing business processes and systems, identifying areas for enhancement and efficiency gains.
- Design and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance operational effectiveness.
Problem Solving and Business Acumen:
- Apply advanced problem-solving techniques to tackle complex business queries.
- Leverage data and findings to inform solutions and drive continuous improvement in a business setting.
Qualifications Skills and Experience: You might be a strong candidate if you have/are:
- 3 or more years of professional experience in a fast-paced organization in areas related to process management, setting up operations, and working closely with cross-functional teams with a track record of success, where you developed skills in at least 4 of the following areas: Project and Pilot management, Lean Six Sigma, Process Audit, Data Interpretation (Business Intelligence or Data Science, Business Process Management/Automation, New Product/ New Business Development, Product Management, Design Thinking.
- An optional 1 year of experience in a strategy or operational consulting role.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, BI software, Zapier, RPA tools, and other insightful and automation tools.
- Good communication and team player, able to work effectively across different teams and disciplines.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to navigate complex and changing environments.
- Ability to work alone, think innovatively about business, and solve complex problems.
- Able to show willingness to spend at least 20% of the time traveling, interacting with field teams, and driving cross-functional engagements to recognize the ins and outs of the business.
- A passion for Sun King’s social mission to power access to brighter lives by bringing innovative, reliable, renewable energy to underserved consumers.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; an advanced degree is welcome.
- People management experience, though not a must.

Based in Uganda with the ability to commute to our Sun King office in Kampala and Kenya when called upon.
