Job Summary: The Digital Tax Stamp Coordinator will support the Tax Manager in ensuring the overall management of the Tax Risk related with Digital Stamps. This will involve the management of DTS process, from ordering, stamp fixing on cement bags, activation of the stickers to carrying out reconciliations. The DTS Coordinator will liaise with other departments to obtain information that maybe used in the process cycle of the DTS procedure, the position is based at Hima Plant and Tororo.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the stamp fixing process on all cement bags for all the three production plants and ensure timely activation of all the products dispatched from the plant.
- Ensuring that the established controls in place are functioning so as to avoid sales of cement having no or non-activated stamps.
- Carrying out daily and monthly reconciliations of the activated stamps against the dispatch and production quantity recorded in the enterprise resource planner and ensuring these are signed off by the relevant approval matrix.
- Maintain reconciliation of stamps received from URA against stamps ordered, stamps used for manual application on the bags against the stamps dispatched in production, damaged stamps and stamp balances in stores.
- Perform stock counts of stamps at hand and activations in the DTS system and make accurate forecasts of stamps required vs unstamped stock available.
- Ensure and follow up to ensure that the damaged bags verified by the revenue authority have been destroyed.
- Maintain a record of all stamps damaged during the production.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Technical Competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting or Statistics (Attained within the last 2 years)
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking skillset, anticipatory and curious mindset, willingness to challenge assumptions.
- Working knowledge in Microsoft excel, word and google worksheets.

- Good Communication skills and good stakeholder management skills.
- High integrity and confidentiality.
- Right attitude to work in a demanding, challenging and busy environment.
