Job Summary:  The wait staff plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests. They are responsible for providing attentive service, taking orders accurately, delivering food and beverages promptly, and maintaining a clean and organised dining area. The ideal candidate is someone friendly, efficient who possesses excellent communication and multitasking skills

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and assist them in finding a suitable table.
  • Present menus and provide detailed information on menu items, specials, and promotions.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff promptly.
  • Ensure that all special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen.
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
  • Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area, including tables, chairs, and condiment stations.
  • Assist with setting up tables, refilling condiments, and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar stuff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures regarding safety, hygiene, and guest service at all times.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage pairings is a plus.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.
