Job Title:   Tracking Technician

Job Summary: The tracking technician is responsible for installing vehicle security devices in clients’ vehicles, Securex vehicles & other assets where and when required. It is a technical job that requires a lot of experience and care/attention.

A properly done installation enables accurate monitoring and updates. It also enhances assurance of recovery of a stolen motor vehicle in case of theft, The vehicle tracking technology evolves and all installers have to keep abreast with the technological advancement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure installation and concealment of tracking devices is done in a professional manager.
• Ensure that client’s details are correctly captured in the installation form/job cards.
• Commence installation only after internal requisition and installation order is properly recorded and approved.
• Ensure completeness of client’s information in the database in control room.
• Test the tracking after installation to confirm functionality.
• Ensure that installation areas are properly secured during and after installation.
• Before a client’s vehicle is handed over ensure that he signs the post installation form to confirm that all is well.
• Ensure that all client’s information is confidential at all times.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Certificate in Automobile Engineering
• Two years of practical experience
• A minimum of three years in the Electronics field.
• Working knowledge of multiple security functions and security driven technology solutions
