Job Summary: Sokoni Africa Limited is currently seeking highly skilled and passionate Professional Chefs and Cooks to join our culinary team. As a Professional Chef or Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring the highest quality and presentation. You will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and standards
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items
- Monitor and maintain food inventory levels
- Assist with food preparation and plating during busy periods
- Ensure timely and efficient execution of orders
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Culinary degree or relevant certification in cooking or a related field
- Proven experience as a Professional Chef or Cook, preferably in a similar environment
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and culinary principles
- Creativity and ability to develop new recipes and menu items
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
