Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to HSE rules with associated implementation and control within his area of responsibility.
- Ensure operations’ compliance with the rules of the art, Safety, and protection of the environment and by ensuring the application of the Company’s Guidelines.
- Participate to 24/7 operation tracking and evaluation within RTOC to prevent major incidents and track performances (1 well drilled every 4 days with 3 drilling rigs, 430 wells to track).
- Promote and propose improvement area for the use of RTOC.
- Development of the Drilling & Well Improvement Process (DWIP) of the Tilenga project, in order to achieve minimum operation duration and costs within the specific context of the project (factory drilling, learning curve factor, remote area), without compromising safety and environment. This includes the implementation of the Improvement Wheel phased with the well delivery cycle (Design, Execution, Measure and Postmortem) and the monitoring (KPls) of the performance.
- In addition to the continuous performance process, investigate along with the Drilling & Wells team on technological breakthroughs, different engineering concepts, different operating modes to achieve step changes in performance & cost.
- As part of the performance, participate to the development and the promotion of the digital roadmap and tools. Potentially Product owner for a performance digital tool.
- Build and share a sustainable performance culture amongst Company and Contractors, critical in this particular factory drilling environment to achieve lowest operational costs.
- Mentoring Junior staff (local and expatriate).
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Petroleum Industry MSc (or equivalent professional experience).
- Seven years of international experience in drilling and or completion engineering.
- Three years minimum exposure to operations.
- One year or more experience in a Method or digital position is a plus.
