Our WEAVE model intersects research (on women’s specific experiences and needs), evidence-based advocacy (to influence national, regional, and international policy and practice), holistic healing (to enable women’s wellbeing and participation in peace processes), skills and movement building to equip WHRDs with necessary skills, build networks and facilitate exchange of strategies to advance women’s leadership for peace.

 

Job Summary:  Under the supervision of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager, the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer will perform the following functions; participate in development and maintenance of a robust Monitoring and Evaluation system, develop baseline survey for all projects, capacity building for staff and partners in Monitoring and evaluation, Data collection and management, produce timely reports for decision making and advocacy.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • University degree in Statistics, demographics, public policy, international development, economics, or related field. Advanced certificate in M&E, statistics, or economics preferred.
  • Minimum of three (5) years of professional experience in an M&E responsible for implementing M&E activities of international development projects.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and operating  project M&E systems
  • Experience in designing and managing beneficiary monitoring and database systems.
  • Experience in strategic planning and performance measurement, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E and performance monitoring plans.
  • Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (e.g. qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies.
  • Experience in planning and managing surveys.
  • Experience in developing and refining data collection tools.
  • Experience with data quality assessments and oversight.
  • Experience in managing and providing training to partners and target beneficiaries.
  • Ability to facilitate and serve as project liaison for externally-managed evaluations.
