Job Summary: MTN is a leading provider of Mobile Financial Services and payment solutions with presence in 22 countries in Sub SaharanAfrica and the Middle East. As part of its strategy MTN is expending its scope of services to providing a B2C e&m-commerce platforms to merchant and consumers by leveraging MTN’s merchant base, consumer base, brand, mobile payment capabilities, mobile communication and digital service capabilities and data to disrupt the both e and m- commerce sectors. Partnerships with logistics partners plays a key role in the success of this strategy
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Fulfilment Manager will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:
Strategy Development and Implementation of the OPCO Logistics strategy in line with the Group Fin-commerce logistics strategy
- Develop and maintain the best last mile value proposition to both consumers and merchants
- Provide overall operational management direction and guidance to Logistics team withing the Opco logistics.
- Provide Insight and business strategy operational growth to the Opco.
- Review and identify key risks, issues, and dependencies and set mitigation actions
- Manage budgets
- Sign off / make decisions regarding operational changes
- Lead engagements with key internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver key partnerships
- Implement strategy
Operational Delivery
- E&M commerce logistics management
- Number of successful deliveries to customers
- Number of last mile deliveries on a daily basis
- 3pl contract management
- E&M commerce logistics strategy (partnerships, acquisitions, warehousing etc)
- Strategic partnership with delivery companies
- Governance
- Strategic Meetings
- Participate and provide input in strategic meetings
- Perform evaluation baseline of key constraints
- Participate in industry events that are shaping the digital evolution
Escalations
- Manage and resolve escalations that have impact on critical path of service delivery
- Escalate issues that will result in significant time, scope, employee/customer or cos impacts if not resolved
Performance
- Review performance against agreed KPIs and compliance to SLAs
- Create and monitor plan for continuous improvement
- Review performance of teams
Reporting
- Report on a monthly basis to management relating to progress made within the sub-division and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organisation
- Report on an ad hoc basis on specific projects as and when necessary
Budgets
- Manage budgets in line with business objectives
- Manage initiative budgets in line with business objectives

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the MTN Uganda job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related fields.
- Master’s in business administration is advantageous.
- 7-10 years relevant experience in the eCommerce, logistics/fulfilment, or last- mile delivery & couriering is essential.
- Deep understanding of eCommerce as a business, which includes strengths or experience in: Strong in process, commercial negotiation, logistics operations.
- A proven track record of performing well against SLA’s;
- Experience in creating, testing and optimizing processes real-time or near real-time; developing smart and efficient processes that solve issues before they mature into problems, and have solid experience creating and implement departmental SOP’s Manage logistics partners
- Experience managing SLA’s with logistics partners, source partners for deployment. Managing e-commerce physical goods, food, and grocery delivery operations.
- 3rd Party logistics partner management and partnership models.
