Job Title:  Human Resource Manager

Organisation: NFT Consult Ltd

Duty Station:  Kampala, Uganda

Reports to: Managing Director

NFT Consult Ltd is a business process outsourcing firm with offices in Uganda, South Africa, Kenya, Botswana Rwanda, Tanzania, Zambia, Burundi and South Sudan.

 

About the client

Our client is a Ugandan manufacturer of cosmetic and pharmaceutical products located in Kampala. Our vision is to provide high-quality products manufactured in Uganda, at affordable prices, readily available on the local market.

 

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR professional with a passion for people management and a track record of driving HR excellence. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all HR activities for about 20-30 employees.
  • Set up of HR policies, guidelines, and SOPs.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Responsible for the entire recruitment and selection process.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
  • Nurture a positive working environment.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Management reports and provides decision support through HR metrics.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout the human resource management process.
  • Support staff in the organization of travels.
  • Providing administrative support to the team.
  • Insurance Management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of three years of human resource management experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software.
  • Exceptional time, task, and resource management skills.
  • Proven working experience as an HR Manager or other HR Executive.
  • People-oriented and results-driven.
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
