ENCOT’s mission is to provide microfinance services to low-income smallholder farmer communities, most especially women, to allow them curve their own paths out of poverty through creation of own jobs.

 

Job Summary: The role of the Partnerships & Resource Mobilization Officer is to mobilize and support ENCOT leadership to identify, capture, and develop funding opportunities; ensure effective strategic partnerships and donor relationships; support in developing a highly effective and responsive resource mobilization team, and foster effective and responsive cross-functional participation in resource mobilization from other internal and external sources. This role will have a direct reporting line to the Business Development Manager and will work closely with the Finance and Administration Manager.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To identify, pursue, and negotiate strategic partnership opportunities that align with the ENCOT’s objectives and listing them and sharing the information with the Business Development Manager and Finance & Administration Manager.
  • To assist with funding proposal writing processes. This involves writing project and budget plan proposals and coordinating with the different stakeholders with the aim of sometimes jointly submitting a project proposal.
  • To assist in developing a fund generation and resource mobilization Workplan and constantly follow-up the implementation of the plan. This involves designing and writing materials for communications with different prospective donors and agencies.
  • To develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products/services to effectively communicate value propositions to partners.
  • To cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • To collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to develop strategic plans and initiatives to drive partnership success.
  • To monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential partnership opportunities and threats.
  • To track and report on key metrics, evaluate partnership effectiveness, and recommend improvements or changes as necessary.
  • To stay updated with industry developments and emerging technologies to identify new partnership opportunities
  • To assist in mobilizing non-financial resources from private sectors entities, individuals and corporate agencies.
  • To coordinate processing of agreements in connection with funding opportunities and ensure effective and timely follow-up in terms of submission of reports to the donors and grant renewal proposals.
  • To undertake all other relevant activities as and when assigned by the Business Development Manager and Finance & Administration Manager respectively.





Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a relevant field is required.
  • At least a year of relevant hands-on experience in similar field.
  • Excellent Time Management

  • Ability to creatively solve problems
  • Good analytical skills in developing and implementing resource mobilization strategies
  • Ability to work effectively in teams
  • Ability to prioritize workload and demonstrate deliverables/outcomes.
  • Initiative taker, self-motivation and a commitment to continuously work results oriented
  • Negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy and ability to effectively use a variety of software particularly
  • Demonstrated passion for improving the lives of the poor.
