Job Summary: As a Junior Accountant at Dafric Logistics Limited, you will support the finance department in managing daily accounting tasks. You will work closely with senior accountants and financial managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other tax filings.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Help analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience (1-2 years) in accounting or finance roles (internship experience considered).
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and reporting requirements is a plus.
