Job Summary: The Fund is seeking a Financial Accountant who will be responsible for accounting for the Fund’s transactions and availing strategic advice to drive performance.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and record accounting transactions in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Advise on the accounting treatment of complex transactions in accordance with IFRS.
  • Prepare reports on the Fund’s performance.
  • Avail strategic ideas for process and technological improvements
  • Serve department stakeholders and customers with timely services.
  • Ascertain inter-department synergies to support key projects.
  • Support the external audit exercise and preparation of annual financial statements and integrated report.
  • Recommend key automation to improve efficiencies in the department.
  • Undertake business process re-engineering and improve productivity.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a business or numerical course
  • Completion of an accounting professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is a must.
  • At least three years of experience in an accounting practice
  • Experience in tax and cost accounting practices will be an added advantage.
