The Women’s International Peace Centre, formerly Isis-WICCE, is a feminist organization founded in 1974 and based in Kampala, Uganda. Our WEAVE model intersects research (on women’s specific experiences and needs), evidence-based advocacy (to influence national, regional, and international policy and practice), holistic healing (to enable women’s wellbeing and participation in peace processes), skills and movement building to equip WHRDs with necessary skills, build networks and facilitate exchange of strategies to advance women’s leadership for peace.
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the senior finance officer, the Finance Assistant will perform the following functions: preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports as per donor and institutional guidelines. budgeting and budget monitoring, processing payments and reviewing documents and support internal and external
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Accounting and / or Finance Certified Public Accountant or hold CPA, CFA, CPMA
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in accounting/finance with any bilateral or international funding or non-profit development agencies
- Experience in developing project budgets and financial management systems
- Experience in facilitating the development of accounting software
- Significant knowledge of international donor financial reporting procedures and the Government of Uganda policies, rules, and regulations.
