Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Look for job opportunities through routine checks in different print and electronic media and maintain a network of potential clients.
- Utilize modelling and design software for project planning and preparation of bidding documents/proposals.
- Review technical submissions, write reports, and manage project budgets.
- Liaise with various bodies and individuals, including local authorities, government agencies, clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, technical experts, and consultants.
- Stay updated on water and environmental matters and policy developments.
- Monitor project progress from bidding through procurement to commissioning.
- Maintain and expand the portfolio of clients by developing professional relationships.
- Manage project management and planning for sites, including site setting, staffing, budgets, and safety.
- Oversee work done on-site, including planning, designing, scheduling, managing construction crews, and ensuring compliance.
- Provide technical advice and solve problems on-site.
- Conduct site inspections, record and control construction quality.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a recognized University/Institution.
- At least three (3) years of experience as a water Engineer.
- Relevant working experience of 3 (three) years as a Project & Cost Accountant, or in a similar position, in a large and reputable organization, preferably a vibrant commercial organization, or a civil works Company, or an Investment Company.
