Gugudde Television is a pioneer Christian Television in operation since 2018 solely promoting the Full Gospel of Jesus Christ in programming and operation.

 

Job Summary: The Assistant Programs Director will assist in Coordinating and monitoring programs for Gugudde television station’s broadcasts and participate in program promotions

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Assistant Programs Director shall assist the Program’s Director to;

  • Ensure program quality for broadcast by deciding whether program content(type) is technically acceptable.
  • Participate in program acquisition by recommending suitable programs for purchase.
  • Respond to viewers’ comments and questions, and complaints regarding television programming /schedules.
  • Coordinates broadcast traffic and logging activities as it relates to program scheduling.
  • Develop alternatives to planned schedules, assist in authorizing last-minute changes, and replace material.
  • Confers with the promotional department to discuss content of programs scheduled and helps determine which programs to promote.
  • Ensure timely airing of programs as per the schedule by coordinating with the Transmission Operators.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of content to keep relevant to the station’s audience.
  • Monitor all station programs and ensure the highest quality programming
  • Producing the Makerere Full Gospel Church services
  • Any other duties assigned.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’ degree in Radio/Television/Broadcasting/Mass Communication
  • Three years of experience in TV programming.
  • Knowledge of broadcast rules, regulations, and guidelines
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles to ensure peak performance of staff.
  • Knowledge of content management especially the creation and maintenance of robust content storage and archiving Library of station content.
  • Ability to work under pressure and extra hours.
  • Creativity and Innovation to promote innovation.
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Problem-solving: Ability to resolve technical problems.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work harmoniously with other departments
  • Must be a born-again Christian.
  • Must belong to a cell and possess a recommendation letter from the zone leader.
  • Age 25 – 35 years
