Job Summary:  Acts as an interface between Asset Integrity Manager and field technicians to support the asset integrity management process. He/she ensures efficient daily work plans and execution as well as assignment of resources at the workshop. This includes accuracy in job cards input including stock utilisation and cost tagging and follows up on works done by A.I personnel. They also ensure purchase requisitions are raised in advance for good stocking of workshops and work planning as well as execution of continual inspections on assets.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Raise Accurate Purchase requisitions and Cash requisitions
  • Create accurate Job Cards for works done
  • Engage OEMs/Vendors on accurate part sourcing and corrective maintenance
  • Engage the procurement team on RFQs for accurate PRs
  • Set Re-order levels on fleetwave and prompt Purchase requisitions on the same
  • Monitor physical stock levels on site of operation in line with system levels monthly
  • Conduct periodic tool audits.
  • Conduct Premob inspections and other preventive maintenance tasks where required
  • Ensure Execution of preventive maintenance as per schedule Generate monthly audit reports on workshop and asset status.
  • Engages A.I team on innovative ideas of increasing work efficiency and redesign of assets where required
  • Execute corrective maintenance tasks including welding





Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Diploma in mechanical engineering.
  • Secondary school completion (minimum grade C+)
  • Certification in computer packages i.e. Ms Word, excel, power point.
  • At least three years of experience in maintenance of a variety of assets including personal vehicles, heavy commercial vehicles, forklifts and cranes.
  • Experience of working in remote areas
  • Exposure on Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Must be a Ugandan Citizen
  • Basic Engineering knowledge
  • Basic Engineering knowledge
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to comprehend Computerised Maintenance Management systems
  • Ability to prepare & write routine progress reports on maintenance tasks including ensuring 100% availability of jobs data & process documents.
  • Familiar with ISO standards of safety, as well as OGP lifesaving rules.
