About US:
Yalelo (U) Limited is a tilapia fish farm that was established in Uganda in 2019. The farm is located in Butembe, Buikwe district on the shores of Lake Victoria. Yalelo Uganda is a subsidiary of First Wave Group B.V; a Dutch company with a portfolio of aquaculture related assets in Africa. First Wave Group owns and operates Yalelo Zambia, a pioneer of Aquaculture founded in 2011 that has grown quickly to become the leading fish farm in Zambia and among the largest aquaculture farms in Africa.
Job Summary: The Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), in collaboration with Yalelo Uganda, is implementing the Young Africa Works – for Youth Employment Project. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Temporary Data Collectors to support this initiative aimed at empowering youth in the surrounding communities, including Jinja, Iganga, and the Kampala Metropolitan area.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct a survey about the project, ensuring all responses are accurate and complete by following detailed survey instructions.
- Complete all assigned surveys within the designated period.
- Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of all collected data throughout the data collection process.
- Attend a mandatory onboarding and training session to comprehensively understand the project, survey instrument, data collection procedures, and quality assurance measures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of Diploma in any field
- Must be able to operate a Computer, Tablet, or Smartphone.
- Must have keen attention to detail, and ability to analyse data.
- Previous experience conducting surveys (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Possession of a smartphone with reliable internet access
- Must be aged between 18-30 years old.
NB: The work will involve constant movements to different locations within the assigned areas. Must be a residence from any of the following areas; Kampala, Jinja, and Iganga. This position is temporarily available for Five (05) days from 10th to 14th June 2024
