Job Title:       Radiographer (2 Positions)

Organization: Mt Elgon Hospital Mbale Ltd

Duty Station: Mbale, Uganda

Reports to: Radiologist

Independence Avenue. in Mbale City is a private hospital which has been in operation since 2009 with a Mission of providing timely and cost effective specialized clinical services using motivated professional for a satisfying client experience and a Vision of ‘A preferred health service provider.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Verify and check that all the Radiation safety measures are adhered to at all times.
• Create and dispatch patient images to relevant departments/physicians in a timely manner to meet high level treatment standards and efficient reports.
• Provide adequate and correct information to the patients prior to conducting procedures
• Inspect diagnostic equipment to ensure they are functional and operate efficiently
• Maintaining records: for e.g.. equipment history.
• Setting standards & ensuring their compliance
• Involvement in the activities of the hospitals safety committee & checking safety hazards

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The Radiographer must hold a minimum of a good diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences or equivalent with a good working experience.
• Should be knowledgeable and competent in the use of CT, Fluoroscopy, General radiography and Ultra Sound.
• The applicants must have a current practicing license
