Job Summary: The Treasury Sales Dealer will be responsible for providing treasury solutions to all clients’ segments, meet clients FX, hedging and Investment Requirements and increase Bank’s share of wallet.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Revenue Generation
- To maintain and improve profitably within both Retail & Corporate customers portfolio.
- Selling FX spot and vanilla forward products to both new and existing clients.
- Providing solutions / pricing to meet clients FX needs.
- Frequent engagement of branches including upcountry branches as well as existing and new to bank clients.
- Conduct a wallet sizing exercise for the existing FX customers within your respective portfolio.
- The effective and efficient management of all the Retail & Corporate Sales desk activity that may involve managing an outstanding relationship with all the clients.
- Interaction with clients on daily basis and commitment to deliver best services in this competitive environment.
- Effectively maintain a portfolio of both Retail and corporate clients that are productive as far as generating FX income is concerned.
- To call and meet clients regularly for business liaison and to advise the markets expected FX.
- Responsible for generating business revenue as per set targets.
Operational Management
- Constantly and effectively adhere to individual dealing limits as spelt out in the internal policy document.
- Accuracy of records, appropriate application of products and correctness of P&L reporting.
- Profit reconciliations in liaison with back-office department.
- Timely follow up on all reconciliation items.
- Timely monitoring of dealing mandates for corporate customers.
- Ensure that execution and confirmation of deals with customers is done on a recorded line and within the dealing room premises.
- All client’s dealings and engagements should be as per the assigned job description.
- To provide market commentary on foreign exchange rates, Interest rates and charts where necessary, and thereafter send to selected group of customers via E-mail on daily basis.
- To prepare a physical call plan in coordination with the relationship officers in the respective BU, to visit them on regular basis, and to write call reports and follow-ups actions. Client meetings are integral part of the assignment. ▪ To provide the customers/ branches with daily FX rates.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in economics or business-related field.
- Professional Qualifications: ACI dealing Certificate.
- Three years of progressive experience in Treasury Sales.
- Thorough understanding of the local and international financial services industry.
- General banking experience.
- Financial analysis Skills: Ability to analyze market information and provide structured solutions.
- Analytical business and investment appraisal Skills: Able to provide advice and cause/effect evaluation to support business decision making.
- Technology Skills: High level of computer literacy.
- Industry knowledge: Knowledge of foreign exchange markets and trends of major currencies.
- Goal driven and results oriented: Enjoys being measured, and judged by financial and other performance targets.
- Personal Ethics: Has a strong service ethic and demonstrates integrity in work and business contacts.
- Communication Skills: strong evaluation, communication and reporting skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Builds relationships and networks easily with ability to interact with key contacts in finance sector.
- Work balance: Ability to balance opposing business requirements as well as long- and short-term requirements independently.
