About US:
Kakira Sugar Limited (KSL) is a leading sugar manufacturer in Uganda. KSL boasts of two sugar estates, one in Kakira – Jinja and the other in Kayunga.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations. (Loss Elimination, Risk Management and Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM))
- Root cause analysis
- Risk Management (FTA – Fault tree analysis, ETA – Event tree analysis etc.,)
- Life Cycle Asset Management
- Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an Asset Maintenance Plan that includes 🙁 Value-added preventive maintenance tasks, Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems)
- Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation.
- Provides technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel.
- Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decision
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a bachelors in engineering/physics
- Minimum 5 years as reliability engineer/ condition monitoring in a reputed organisation
- Communication Skills: Should be able to communicate in English and has good knowledge in computer
