Job Summary: The Segment Head, SME will drive the strategic agenda for SME & Retail Banking Sector through Customer Acquisition & Retention; Balance Sheet growth, Maintenance of a high quality Asset portfolio and Development of SME & Retail Products in line with the overall bank’s business objectives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Equity Bank job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized University.
- A postgraduate/ master’s degree in a Business-related field will be an added advantage.
- At least 10-15 years of relevant banking experience, preferably with at least 5 years at a senior managerial position in Corporate banking.
- Understanding of the relevant laws, regulations and practices pertaining to Corporate Banking products.
- Personal integrity, self-motivation and self-management.
- Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills.
- Analytical business and investment appraisal Skills.
- Business Development Skills, Customer service skills, Relationship/People Management skills, Negotiation Skills, Leadership skills, Marketing, Selling and Strong Credit analysis skills.
- High standards of confidentiality and ethics to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
