Job Summary: This is a full-time on-site role located in Mukono. As a Quality Assurance Manager at QUALITY PLASTICS UGANDA LIMITED, you will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are met and implementing quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control systems to ensure product consistency and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes, materials, and finished products to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Train and mentor staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor supplier performance and establish quality requirements for incoming materials.
- Oversee the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the packaging industry.
- Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, standards, and regulations.
- Experience in implementing quality control procedures
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
