Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively promotes health, safety, security and housekeeping standards.
- Actively promotes oil product range and added value products and services.
- Motivates forecourt sales and sell oil product ranges
- Trains and advises Customer Champions, Mechanic Specialist, Oil Specialist and customers on suitable lubricant products
- Motivates the Site staff to do the “under bonnet” service.
- Ensures marketing activities/programmes are successfully implemented.
- Train and advises on the standard procedure in performing oil changes that keeps customers’ cars clean; ensures lubrication bay area and clean in accordance with HSSE standards.
- Ensures stock is displayed correctly on the Merchandizing Display Units (MDUs); stock records are up to date and replenishments are communicated accordingly.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a University diploma/degree
- Technical education is a recommendation
- A valid driver’s licence Advance certificate (Mechanical Engineering)
- Previous supervisory or team leadership or coaching experience an advantage
- Previous automotive, or mechanical experience an advantage
- Automotive or fuel industry
- Sales and Marketing skills
- Coaching and training skills
- Clear spoken language ability
- Literacy: able to read and understand product information, and to record sales on standard schedules
- Numeracy: intermediate arithmetic
- Basic understanding of mechanics: Relates well with and is able to provide given lubricant product information to customers and staff
- Good communication skills Tenacity: ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks Attention to detail Self-motivation, high energy levels and ability to work with minimal supervision. Run any current programs and initiatives to support the retail lubricants business
