Job Summary: The Junior Project Engineer provides technically acceptable engineering deliverables within time and within cost constraints. Provides inputs to generate scope of work, schedules and budgets Ensures effective design, procurement, quality, construction and commissioning on a project. Tasked with project management and creation of new- initiatives, coordinating existing projects and international roll out of projects. Perform research and development
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide technically acceptable engineering deliverables within time and within cost constants
- Implements a cost-effective, conceptual and detailed design
- Provides inputs to generate scope of work, schedules and budgets.
- Ensures effective design, procurement, quality, construction and commissioning on a project.
- Comply with operational and legal requirements with regard to Health and Safety
- Comply with the company Quality Policy, objectives and regulations
- Manage and administrate projects.
- Ensure that applicable operating, safety and maintenance procedures are adhered to
- Identify, develop and implement efficiencies
- Responsible for ensuring that any appointed consultants and contractors adhere to the required standards timetables and budgets
- Stakeholder management
- To compile and present reports to internal and external clients e g. on RSD, designs, commissioning and progress
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Junior Project Engineer should hold a B sc in Engineering
- At least three to five years of related work experience
- Knowledge of aspects of civil, water and sanitation, electrical & process engineering
- Possess a valid permit Class B.
