Our bank is wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of India, one of the largest public sector banks in India, established in 1906 and having banking expertise and tradition of over 100 years.

 

Job Summary: The Human Resource Manager oversees all aspects related to Human resources, employee development and fostering a positive workplace culture within Bank of India (Uganda) Ltd. Will be responsible for talent acquisition, performance management and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a pay plan, scheduling and conducting job evaluations, monitoring and implementing pay structure revisions, maintaining leave records and calculations of pay and its components.
  • Maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Conducting background checks while on boarding staff.
  • Maintaining work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all staff.
  • Identifying vacancies, arranging program for recruitment and interviews
  • Preparing employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs and maintaining its records
  • Resolving issues pertaining to HR department identified by internal auditor, external auditors and the regulator
  • Talent Management, HR Planning, Administration, creating discipline work environment, handling disciplinary matters and governance Control.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by Bank.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate must hold a Degree in Human Resource Management or a Business-related field with Post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized Institution.
  • Three (3) years working experience as a Human Resource Officer/Manager in a Bank/Financial Institution is a MUST.
  • Ability to lead team
  • Highly organized person, with ability to multitask with ease
  • Suitable basic knowledge in Computer is a must.
