Job Summary: As the Finance & Grants Officer at UKPC, you will hold a pivotal role in the financial management and oversight of our projects and programs. You are entrusted with the comprehensive oversight of all financial aspects, ensuring strict compliance with both local and international regulatory standards, including those set by donors. Your responsibilities include the meticulous analysis of financial data to support strategic decision-making processes, ensuring financial resources are used efficiently and effectively. Through your expertise, you will ensure that UKPC upholds its financial integrity, enhances its accountability, and continues to achieve its mission of improving the well-being of key populations in Uganda.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a preference for candidates who have attained a Master’s degree.
  • Must possess a recognised professional qualification such as ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with a strong preference for those who have worked on USAID-funded projects or other international development programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of USAID regulations, policies, and procedures related to financial management.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial data and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and manage responsibilities under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in grants management and sub-recipient monitoring is highly valued.
  • Language requirements
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Fluency in one or more commonly spoken Ugandan vernacular languages is a plus.
