Job Summary:  We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Formulation and Development Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key role in the development of new drug products, from pre-formulation to scale-up and transfer to manufacturing. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing formulations, conducting experiments, analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop novel formulations for drug products, including parenteral, ophthalmic solutions and injectable dosage forms.
  • Conduct pre-formulation studies to assess the physicochemical properties of drug substances.
  • Optimize formulations for stability, manufacturability, and patient acceptability.
  • Develop and validate analytical methods to support formulation development and stability testing.
  • Perform and interpret stability studies to ensure product quality and shelf life.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including PDR, batch records, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research scientists, analytical chemists, Microbiologists and engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in formulation technology and regulatory guidelines.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
  • Strong understanding of pre-formulation principles, formulation design, and excipient selection.
  • Experience with various analytical techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, FT-IR
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is a plus.
