About US Embassy:

The United States Embassy in Kampala, Uganda has enjoyed diplomatic relations with Uganda for over 30 years.  Ambassador William W. Popp currently heads the U.S Mission to Uganda.  The Mission is composed of several offices and organizations all working under the auspices of the Embassy and at the direction of the Ambassador.

 

Among the offices operating under the U.S Mission to Uganda are:

  • United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
  • Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
  • Peace Corps

 

Job Summary:  This position is located in the Asset Management section of the General Services Office (GSO) and directly supervises three (3) Supply Clerks, FSN-5. Incumbent is responsible for the direction, maintenance, and accountability of the Asset Management operations for the Embassy and associated agencies. Position is directly supervised by the Property Management Supervisor.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

NOTE:  All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

  • The applicants for the United States US Embassy Supply Supervisor (Non-Expendable Asset Supervisor job opportunity should have completed Secondary school (Both “O” and “A” Level) is required.
  • A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in a supply or asset management operations including minimum of six months supervisory experience is required.
  • Basic knowledge of property and asset management processes including receipt, issuance, disposal and procurement procedures, project management, filing, and/or associated agency supply regulations and implementation.
  • Ability to organize, manage, and supervise the post supply program efficiently, while ensuring that U.S. government property regulations are followed.
  • Interpersonal skills, customer service skills and ability to tolerate repetitive work.
  • Use and familiarity of Microsoft Office Suite is required, and ability to learn other asset-tracking specific software (Integrated Logistics Management System).
  • Ability to learn Department of State and/or associated agency supply regulations, and post policies including Furniture and Appliance Pool (FAP) policy, designation of authority (official signatories and hierarchy) for property management and disposal, etc.
  • Language: English level III (good working knowledge Speaking/Reading/Writing) is required.
