Job Title:    Digital Transformation Officer

Savior Microfinance Limited (SML) is a microfinance company that is duly registered in Uganda.

Job Summary:  We are seeking a highly skilled person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for Digitization of the operations of the institution, support technical and IT functions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure development and implementation of a digital strategy
• Implement the opportunities of emerging digital technologies and digital-enabled business models
• Build and maintain external relationships with technology vendors and be part of relevant ecosystems
• Act as a thought leader who articulates the digital future of the institution.
• Educate the management on digital, building tech fluency from the top down
• Lead the development of the digital capabilities necessary for digital transformation throughout the enterprise
• Drive the move toward an insight-driven organization that leverages the power of data to make business decision.
• Build digital talent in the organization through a combination of developing current staff and attracting new talent
• Champion the process to identify, try, evaluate, and scale or fail new digital technologies while ensuring they are relevant to the business
• Oversee the execution of digital initiatives

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• At least a bachelor’s degree technology, engineering or business.
• Be innovator. Understanding the line between technology and business. They must understand both product and process innovation.
• Must also understand new trends and products in technology.
• Leadership, Communication, Decision-Making
• Understanding of IT
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role designing and launching digital platforms and or products.
• Proven leadership of successful digital transformation projects
• Understanding of core business processes and their associated technical solutions
• An innovative and disruptive mindset, constantly looking forward
• Proven skills for influencing and collaborating with coworkers
