Job Summary: We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business by identifying new opportunities, cultivating relationships with clients and partners, and expanding our customer base. The ideal candidate will have a passion for renewable energy and a proven track record of success in business development within the solar industry or related.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research and identify new market opportunities for solar products, services, and solutions.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our customer base and increase sales revenue.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including government agencies, commercial enterprises, and residential customers.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective strategies and campaigns to promote our products and services.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and quotations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements with clients and suppliers.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulations to maintain a competitive edge.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of business development efforts.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our brand and network with potential clients and partners.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- At least three years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within the solar energy industry or corporate organisation.
- Strong understanding of solar energy technologies, products, and services.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
