Job Title:    Supervisor Road Development

About US:

Kampala Capital City Authority is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan Parliament that is responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in Uganda. It replaced the Kampala City Council.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible to the Manager Roads, Bridges and Drainage Development for performing the following duties:-

• Monitoring and supervising the new construction for road projects in line with standards and specifications project plans;
• Carrying out quality management and confirming measurements of executed works in line with bills of quantities, standards and specifications;
• Monitoring and managing the contract of the road construction project timelines in line with the approved work plan;
• Supervising and updating the implementation schedule for road construction works in accordance to approved project implementation plans, set standards and specifications;
• Preparing and submitting progress reports on new road construction projects in accordance with the approved work plan and performance agreements;
• Carrying out feasibility studies for major and minor road and bridge works and recommending new projects or project extension in accordance to the set guidelines;
• Conducting regular site visits and inspections to determine that road construction are within the agreed standards;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in either Civil Engineering; or Construction Management from a recognized University / Institution plus a minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma in either Civil Engineering; or Construction Management from a recognized University / Institution. Applicants must be registered with a relevant professional body.
• Applicants should have a minimum of five (5) years relevant working experience in roads construction and development, three (3) of which must have been gained at a Senior or Supervisory level in Government.
• Age: Above 28 years
