Job Summary: The Sales and Operations Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring seamless coordination between the sales and operations teams. This role requires a dynamic leader who can develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets and streamline operational processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Management
- Develop and implement sales strategies, goals, and objectives in alignment with the company’s overall business plan.
- Monitor individual and team performance.
- Identify new business opportunities and markets for
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and clients.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions and adjustments to sales strategies.
- Provide training, coaching, and support to sales team
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities, including inventory management, supply chain and logistics coordination.
- Optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure the quality and timeliness of product/service delivery to customers.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., production, finance, customer service) to achieve operational
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operations.
- Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance.
Cross-Functional Co-ordination
- Foster collaboration and communication between sales and operations teams.
- Ensure that sales and operations are aligned in terms of goals, priorities, and customer expectations.
- Resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise between sales and operations.
Budget and Financial Management
- Develop and manage the sales operations budgets.
- Monitor expenses and revenue to ensure financial targets are met.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-control measures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Institution.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience, 4 in the same capacity.
- Ability to apply influence and organizational savvy to advances sales opportunities externally, with clients, and internally.
- Leadership skills
- Ability to inspire, lead, motivate and influence customers, sales professionals and senior management.
- Mentoring and coaching skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and leading in a matrix management environment.
- Analytical skills
- Good selling techniques and excellent selling strategies
- Thorough knowledge of the competitive marketplace
- Product knowledge
