Job Summary: The Relationship Manager – Women in Business is responsible for the implementation the Women in Business Strategy and portfolio growth aimed at increasing bank’s market share and profitability within the unit. Responsible for building long term relationships founded on efficient and reliable support for their business. This is achieved particularly through quick risk decisions and managing consistency and quality of operational service.
The jobholder will be responsible for business development both with new customers and with existing customers where they are expected to increase “wallet share.”
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales and Customer Management (40%)
- Drive the sales & retention of women in business portfolio by supporting the regional & branch teams.
- Onboard new partners in women activities for the bank to meet its growth aspirations.
- To support on strategic activities to grow the women proposition and activities geared to liabilities and assets mobilization.
- Support on the value chain activities across the business sectors aimed at growth of women proposition.
- Ensure excellent customer service, management of TAT, and offer timely resolutions to the customer issues.
- Participate in the bank activities that are related to women activities and market its proposition to both external and internal customers.
- Monitor the portfolio regularly for purposes of referrals, cross selling, and quality management.
- Review the portfolio to increase product penetration through referrals, cross selling and proactively recommending new products WIB Customers
- Conduct regular online and face-to-face customer visits, site visits, recognition initiatives and write updated call report for each visit as per agreed standard in agreed targets.
- Take responsibility for the performance of allocated customer portfolio to maximize loyalty and customer satisfaction.
- Play a leadership role among the sales team in arranging client visits and handling customer feedback for the bank.
- Liaise regularly with the branch and regional teams on the implementation of the sales strategies to grow the bank’s penetration of the Women in Business sector and drive-up revenues.
- Continuously monitor the quality of the Women in Business Client loans portfolio by reviewing of credit reports and focusing the team on the collection of watch accounts.
- Train and equip the sector’s staff (including branch representatives) to deliver consistently satisfactory experiences to customers.
Business Management (30%)
- Research, create and follow up on a target list for potential new business.
- Identify priority customers using the Customer Relationship Planning templates to assess their present and potential contribution.
- Gather all the required information that is needed to prepare and assess credit applications. Role holder will be expected to input certain key information such as judgmental information. (They will work with RMA to construct credit applications).
- Control and quality of the portfolio, using available triggers and adherence to Risk management guidelines and policies.
Provision of Customer Service (15%)
- Own customer queries and complaints and resolve in a timely manner. Escalate any unresolved queries, or queries not resolved in a short period of time to the Head of Enterprise Banking.
- Build relationships with internal service providers (Operations and KYC Helpdesk) to ensure a quick turnaround time of escalated queries and complaints.
- Direct customers to the appropriate delivery channel to meet their needs.
Risk, Compliance & Controls (10%)
- Interface with the Risk & Compliance function at the country Head Office to achieve desired results.
- Initiate and regularly update plans for reduction of provisions/impairment. This role is directly accountable for the quality of the asset book.
- Accountable for compliance & control environment in the distribution network.
- Any other duties that maybe assigned to you from time to time by the Bank.
People Management (5%)
- Establish and maintain a succession plan for the key roles in the area and review and approve succession plans for one level below.
- Day to day coaching and development of Corporate Managers’ Assistants.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The applicants must hold National Diplomas and Advanced Certificates: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
