Job Summary: The Relationship Manager- Transactional Banking will be responsible for championing sales and utilization of Transactional Banking Solutions, initiating strategies and developing products which will ensure growth of revenue from existing and new relationships.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for management of the Cash Transactional Budget in collaboration with the relationship management teams in the respective business units/segments.
- Provide necessary support to the relationship teams through sales materials, sales drives etc. to ensure sustainable growth of Transactional income and Volumes.
- Develop sales pipelines of Cash related business in line with overall Account Plans.
- Maintain the existing client base and acquire new businesses from the market.
- Maintain relationships with Institutions & Companies and ensure that services delivered meet client expectations.
- Gather market intelligence on a continuous basis and leverage the information to ensure FTB remains competitive from a pricing and product perspective.
- Develop short term and long-term sales and product plans, focusing on customers, competition, revenue growth, product life cycle and service.
- Understand the market in terms of size, share, structure, potential, customer segmentation, buyer behavior and competitor analysis within the region and country for cash management products.
- Assess credit requests in conjunction with the credit department in line with the Banks credit standards, policies, procedures and practices and recommend action to the credit department and committee.
- Carry out activities that enhance and promote good public relations and image by giving friendly and efficient services to Institutions & Companies.
- Perform, promote, and maintain the highest standards of customer service in order to maximize returns from existing relationships.
- Implement, and administer business growth programs as necessary to maximize personal Banking, profitable sales of all Bank products & services.
- Develop, implement, and administer sales programs as necessary to maximize contribution of the Institutions & Companies to the Bank’s B/S and P&L.
- Carry out sales visits to existing & potential Institutions & Companies and identify sales leads and report.
- Ensure Sales growth in the various product portfolios by organizing and conducting sales campaigns.
- Maintain and update information on the company’s products or services (work closely with marketing, distribution, and institutional Banking sections of the Bank).
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of a first Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Management or Administration or any other relevant field.
- A Master’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Management or Administration would be an added advantage.
- At least 3 years work experience in supervisory role business, 2 of which should be in Relationship Management or Branch Management.
- A versatile individual with significant headroom and experience in various facets of management (Cash Management and Trade Finance,)
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stake holders who impact performance.
- Knowledge and effective application of all relevant banking strategies, policies, processes, procedures, guidelines, and project management methodology and to consistently achieve required compliance standards.
- Strong oral, written communication, planning and organizing skills to effectively plan own time and manage assigned projects.
- Presentation skills to be able to articulate the features and benefits of various products to aid in the selling process.
- Business Development skills to effectively segment the target market, gather market intelligence and identify opportunities for the bank to sell its products.
- Strong customer focus coupled with knowledge of the product offering and its impact on the customer’s business.
